This board is already established as the approved policy decision and system of this ministry based on the requirements of the currenet apprenticeship Section of the Employment Act.
It is responsible through this ministry for the overall direction and approval of apprentices training contract needs in colloboration with KIT for the use of technical resources and training facilities. It also resiponsible to the ministry to for effective ongoing decision on the approved demand for trade skill upgrading and certification needs from interested lower apprentices and trade unskilled workers under the Trade Training and Testing Scheme.
The program is normally undertaken by using the designated national trade trainers and invigilators from the prescribed skill areas through the use of the scheme's national trade training materials in a form of workshop and then followed by the national trade testing certification to finally determine whether or not they are proficient t obe upgraded.
