Youth Employment Program

The ILO Youth Employment program is an intervention of the ILO to address unemployment issues.  The program involves various projects including income-generation and work-placements activities.  The projects aim to create and to provide employment opportunities for unemployed youths.

These projects include; a) Community Based Training for Rural Economic Empowerment (CB TREE), Start and Improve Your Business and Work-placements with Kiribati Major Employers Organization.

The MLHRD in collaboration with the ILO National Officer tasked to coordinate and implement these projects.

 
 
 
 

Marine Training Center

The Marine Training Centre, which is under the ambit of the Ministry of Labour and Human Resource Development (MLHRD), provides training to I-Kiribati young boys and girls to become qualified seafarers.
