Kiribati has a Inter-Agency Understanding with New Zealand to provide i-Kiribati workers to work in the viti and horticulture industry in New Zealand. 

Since implementation in early 2008, Kiribati has been given job opportunities through RSE employers:

Marine Training Center

The Marine Training Centre, which is under the ambit of the Ministry of Labour and Human Resource Development (MLHRD), provides training to I-Kiribati young boys and girls to become qualified seafarers.
