This scheme allows workers with no formal apprenticeship to be given due recognition of the skills they possess which could result in wage increasing or upgrading.

Marine Training Center

The Marine Training Centre, which is under the ambit of the Ministry of Labour and Human Resource Development (MLHRD), provides training to I-Kiribati young boys and girls to become qualified seafarers.
